Anatomic Pathology
PPA processes almost 42,000 surgical and non-gyn cytology cases annually. In 2008 we processed 6,572 special stains and 18,835 immunohistochemistry stains from our extensive and readily available menu performed in-house for extremely rapid turnaround, usually in 24 hours. Piedmont is the lab for eight major hospitals in North Carolina. Our customers include numerous surgery centers, endoscopy centers, and large specialty practices.
In addition to our standard histology and non-gynecology cytology services, the following immunohistochemistry stains, immunohistochemistry panels, and special stains are performed in our laboratory.
